Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our classes, wedding packages, attire recommendations, and policies.
General
No! We rotate partners frequently during our group classes. It helps you build leading/following connection skills, makes learning faster, and is a great way to meet the community. If you bring a partner and prefer to dance exclusively with them, just let the instructor know before class starts.
Our courses are built specifically for absolute beginners with 'two left feet'. We break down footwork into simple, conversational blocks. No prior dance experience is required.
Classes & Attire
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. For footwear, we recommend smooth-soled shoes (leather or suede) or low heels that allow you to spin easily on wooden floors. Avoid heavy boots, flip-flops, or sticky rubber-soled sneakers.
Wedding First Dance
We recommend starting your wedding choreography lessons at least 6 to 8 weeks before your big day. This gives you plenty of time to build muscle memory, practice at home, and schedule lessons comfortably without stress. However, if you are looking to perform a more elaborate, show-stopping choreography, we recommend starting about a year in advance to truly master the movements and polish the routine.
Absolutely! If you're undecided, Vi can help you test out different rhythms (Waltz, Salsa, Rumba, Foxtrot) during your first lesson to see what matches your personality and song candidates best.
Private Coaching
Yes! Private lessons are available for individuals, couples, or private groups. You can book private sessions to accelerate your learning, refine your styling, or work on a custom routine. Bookings can be made directly via our Contact page.
